FGM Calibration File Selection
Calibration files for the Cluster Fluxgate Magnetometer instrument are accessible
via this page. These files have been prepared by IGeP (Braunschweig) and ISS (Bucarest) and are provided by the
FGM PI team at Imperial College.
These calibration files are used by the FGM Processing Support Data Set (PSDS) software.
To download the file right-click on the link and select the SaveAs option from the pop-up menu.
- const.fgm - Provides information that is expected to remain unchanged throughout the mission
- C1.fgmcal - File containing default offsets for SC1 (Rumba)
- C2.fgmcal - File containing default offsets for SC2 (Salsa)
- C3.fgmcal - File containing default offsets for SC3 (Samba)
- C4.fgmcal - File containing default offsets for SC4 (Tango)
The default FGM cal files provide a fallback calibration set that will be
picked up by the processing software for days where day-cal files are not available.
Since the offsets drift with time a valid day-cal file (see below) should always be used in
preference to the default cal files.
FGM Day-Calibration File Selection
Select spacecraft by clicking the checkboxes.
You may select more than one spacecraft selecting no spacecraft counts as all of them.
You can also restrict the search by date using the 'Start Date' and
'End Date' boxes (use a YYYY-MM-DD format). The 'End Date' can be left blank if it's the
same as the 'Start Date' (i.e. you only want one day of data).
Press the 'Reset' button to clear the selections and 'Submit' when ready to continue.
Alternatively you can
browse the FGM PSDS day-cal file directory.
