Between about 06:20 to 07:10 the four spacecraft were outside the magnetosphere
but in the shadow of the moon. The normal cloud of photo electrons generated
by solar illumination of the spacecraft structure is absent in this region.
This results in a change to the spacecraft potential during this period
(06:00).

allowing Cluster to make it's first observation of the Magnetopause/Magnetosheath
region (during 2000-11-09 & 2000-11-10). This was about a week earlier than
